2. Honduras El Matazano.
"This coffee is one of the winning lots from the 2012 Honduras Cup of Excellence (COE). The COE is a competition that selects the very best coffee produced in one particular country each year. Coffees are blindly judged five times, and only coffees that continuously score high enough are allowed to move forward in the competition and eventually are awarded the Cup of Excellence. The program is a huge benefit to farmers economically and motivates them to grow and produce amazing coffee."

"The farm El COMUN located in the El Matazano community in the municipality of Santiago de Puringlain the Department of La Paz. It has an altitude of 1465meters above sea level and is located 80 km from the city of La Paz, departmental capital. This farm is managed through an agroforestry system using shade with little use of agrochemicals and focused in the soil and water conservation. It also has a protected forest areawith timber and fruit trees. "

"El Matazano is a farm in the Department of La Paz in the southern part of Honduras. Jorge Alberto Vallecio Yanez has been growing coffee on his own for 19 years since learning the tradition from his father. Now, his sons along with some hired help take care of their entire production. Yanez and his oldest son oversee all of the drying of their coffee."
